Why do I have an aura before a migraine headache?

   An aura is just a part of a migraine. Everyone who gets migraines doesn’t get them but a lot of kids do. What are you taking for your migraines? I take zomig and it works great but its really expensive because I am under 18.

   -imitrex didn’t help me at all. As soon as you start to get a migraine take your prescribed medicine. Then if you can take a nap. i do this and when I wake up I usually feel better.

   i have them before mine. its basically like physic thing like ur body knows ur gettin it. go to dr and get Naproxin or Imitrex.. For me naproxin made it worse but imitrex helped.

   You actually might want to have your eyes checked out. Seeing light and if you see a lot of little dots is the first sign or retina detachment. If you have insurance and could go to an eye doctor I would say it’s worth checking out.

   Your description sounds more like ‘ocular migraine’ than migraine aura. None the less, all three symptoms (including the migraines themselves) are of a supernatural origin.

   Ocular migraine is caused by a spirit that is just attempting to get the individual’s attention – like saying hello. If is typically the viewing of flashes of light.

   Migraine aura, the viewing of geometric and often colorful zigzag lines, are caused by a spirit in an attempt to alter behavior. They are for the purpose of hypnosis and are also the ’serpents’ referenced in the scriptures. Typically, those who view these have sinned in some way and it is the spirit’s attempt at correcting the behavior.

   The migraine headaches themselves are typically, but not always, a form of discipline to keep the individual sin free.

   Those who have our symptoms are the saints spoken of in the scriptures.
