Which Migraine treatments will help?
I suffer from severe Classic and Common Migraine attacks, averaging about four a week, since I was 15 (three years ago). My doctor has prescribed me Pizotifen (four a night) and Sumatriptan (1 or 2 when needed) and neither seem to have had much of an effect, with the sumatriptan barely working 80% of the time.
We haven’t discovered a cause, with no common foods triggering them, or lack of sleep or food, so I can’t seem to find a way of preventing them that way. I was wondering if anyone was aware of what medications (not over-the-counter) or techniques could help me cope with, or reduce, attacks, that are available in the UK.
