How do you balance a migraine and a screaming baby?

Tylonol is about all you can do… It ***** but it happens to all of us.
oh my gosh. Im glad that you asked this question because I would love to know some answers
you deal with it, that is part of being a parent. Pop some meds, drink some caffeine, and try to get your little one to cuddle with you and watch a movie until it is gone.
Suck it up. Once you are a mom you don’t get to be sick or to feel bad anymore…..even when you do. If you have a good friend or live close to your parents maybe they could watch her for a bit. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but sadly as moms we really don’t get to be sick even if we are….the baby still needs feeding and all the other stuff just like a normal day.
take some advil, that is all you can really do, we all learn to deal with it.
Get someone to watch the little one while you go take a warm shower. Take some meds and drink lots of water.
i spent the first 8 weeks of my daughters life with a constant headache(along with sleep deprivation) i think near the end of it i kinda got used to it always being there lol but tylenol was a daily thing with me sometimes the early weeks she was a terribly fussy/crying newborn but now at 12weeks shes 1000x better
In addition to your headache drug of choice put in some ear plugs. The Walgreen’s or CVS sells those spongy kind that you squish down and put in your ear. It numbs down the crying but you can still hear a bit. And maybe some sunglasses for the light issue?

Unless you are an alcoholic, pour yourself a glass of wine, put on some mellow music and try rocking your baby. I find that rocking while standing with your baby is a good method for getting them to quiet down. You get a rhythm going and they like it.
earplugs…
Ear plugs. Lay on the floor with your baby and let her terrorize you, that’s as good as it will get.
2 words…Excedrin Migraine.(or just Excedrin extra strength)
Oh and ear plugs might help to buffer the sound.

I experienced this one time, and tried to get my husband to take over baby duties, but I was still very actively breastfeeding (every couple of hours), it was brutal. I was happy when nap time came and I was able to follow the baby’s lead!

I suffered from migraines for years until i was refered to a “headache specialist”, not a “neurologist”, but a headache specialist, after my initial consultation, she felt that my migraines were caused by a vitamin deficiency, she ordered tests, and sure enough, B12 deficient. Ever since then, i take 1000 mcg of B12 every day and have not even had so much as a hint of a headache since then.
Miraculous drugs for migrines that are available only with a prescription. Migrine drugs arrests the vascular problems that cause the pain within a short period. Contact your doctor to get a prescription for Imitrex or other medicines. Some people can completely control migraine problems with the newer drugs.
Sometimes a cold cloth over your head and a dark room will help.
