My head is killing me! I know it’s a migraine but I’m also very much congested. No medicine is helping me. I have taking a muscle relaxer fo the tension in my neck and back.

hmm.. it could actaully be a sinus headache. Have you tried Advil Cold & Sinus? I get both migraines and sinus headaches, they can feel the same sometimes.
It does sound like a sinus headache.
I get them all the time, the only thing that works for me is Aleve cold and sinus, you gotta go to the pharmacist though, cause it contains psuedophedrine.
Good luck
Migraines do all sorts of strange things to your body. I wouldn’t be surprised if congestion accompanied it. You just have to get your triggers known and then you can work on preventing it.
I get mild (but quite serious enough) migraines, and these headaches are always preceded by a visual phenomenon called a “scintillating scotoma.” In this, vision in the center of the field of vision is lost or disturbed, and in the periphery of the field of vision there is spinning and twinkling light. Some of my friends experience a flash of light.
I think almost all victims of migraine have this experience prior to the onset of the pain. If you have had no such experience, it is some pretty strong indication that your headache is of another cause.
FINALLY! Someone else like me! I thought I was crazy! My mom and I both have gotten migraines for YEARS. And “yes” we almost always suffer congestion with them. In fact, alot of the time I sneeze as well. I know alot of people will think the migraine is allergy related, but it is not the case. I have allergy related migraines at certain times of the year. And then at other times I have migraines that I have congestion and sneeze, but no other allergy symptoms. My mom is the same way!
My migraines almost ALWAYS start in the neck and shoulders too. Sometimes I can feel a migraine creeping up into my head. If I had a pen and could reach back there, I could “draw a line” exactly where the migraine was going.
So, in answer to your question. “Yes”.
