Enigma asked:
i also have neack pain. My doc tested my BP and it was on higher side. But she said this might not be causing headaches. She also gave me a medicine for BP and headache, which are safe to use in pregnancy. But i am still skeptical taking them. Any remedies for headaches.

If your doc says you are ok, then you are ok. But I can understand being skittish. Tylenol is practically harmless I believe pregnant women can take it, check with you OB before taking it though to make sure. You can also try taking a nap (that helps me when my headaches won’t go away) or putting a cold cloth on your head! That’s all I got! Good Luck and Congrats!
That was the first thing I was going to ask was your BP, but you have that under control. There is nothing better than massage when you are pregnant. It helped me so much, my headaches stopped in the 5th month, but I kept the massages. It helps to relax you and for that hour or so you get to disappear. Congratulations BTW!
You don’t want to have high blood pressure when you’re pregnant cuz that could cause a lot of problems so take that med. My doc suggested regular strength tylenol for my head-aches.
are you drinking enough water? are you sleeping enough or too much? is the weather (allergies) bugging you? i would consider those facts and go for the massages – they’re VERY nice! it’s ok to be skeptical, just know that your doc wouldn’t give you something that you’re not supposed to take….
I would recommend taking the BP meds as high blood pressure during pregnancy can lead to pre eclampsia. This can lead to complications, which includes emergency c-section (even a month prematurely).
Stay completely away from salt, drink plenty of water. Remember to sit and rest, your body is very busy atm. Don’t be afraid to nap. Talk light walks. Wear uv-protected sunnies in the sun (some people are affected poorly by the light). Eat lots of fresh food.
I doubt that massages would have a negative effect on you or your pregnancy. Be wary of hot stones near your belly, or any massage oils/incense etc. Always always read labels on things like that. Can never be too careful with a bubba inside you.
I had very high bp when i was pregnant i was on a bp pill to control and lower my bp i was on it from the minute i found out i was prgnant and my son is just fine i think it is best you take it cause if you dont it can make your bp high you can go into early labor i also recommend walking for atlst 30 minutes drink plant of water and stay away! rom the high in sodium stuff, and for the massages i loved them!!!! i have three boys 3, 1 1/2 and 5 months and i got prego massages with all of them!
I don’t know if you have that Biogesic in your country, it’s a paracetamol safe for pregnant women.
If the doctor who prescribe the medicine is an OB-GYNE then, there’s no reason to feel that way. They knew best.
I have borne 5 kids and have experienced several of those. it’s really a relief to have your feet massage. What i’m doing sometimes is i place a hot water on a basin and pour some oil of wintergreen and soak my feet for several minutes.
Head massage is good, provided that you are not in high BP.
